Why Choose Mount Carmel Senior Living & Rehab
Founded in 1919 as the St. Joseph’s Home, Mount Carmel was developed by Mother Mary Theresa of St. Joseph. She was the founder of The Carmelite Sisters of The Divine Heart of Jesus. For 82 years, the community, which came to be known as The Carmelite Home, was operated by the Sisters who lived the words and spirit of Mother Mary Theresa. Today we cherish the reputation the Sisters built and proudly carry on their mission.
In 2003, The Carmelite Home became Mount Carmel Senior Living, LLC. Under the direction of principles Vicki Sheehan, Andy Spann and Chris Brown, the community has continued to grow while still remaining true to our mission. That commitment has helped us earn a top tier ranking by Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and a rating as one of America’s top nursing care communities for five years in a row from the Consumer’s Research Council of America. From our Balance Master Therapy program to our specialized respiratory care and incontinence care programs, we offer older adults in St. Charles County the most cutting edge and innovative care.
