Skilled Nursing Care Community in St. Charles

When a senior needs around-the-clock nursing care, Mount Carmel can help. Our ministry and mission have always been to provide quality care in a caring, compassionate environment. Every day since 1919, we have continued to meet the needs of Catholics and aging adults of all faiths.

Meeting each aging resident’s needs begins when we develop an individualized Plan of Care. The goals of each resident are overseen by a physician and carried out by an experienced team of nurses and caregivers. Our interdisciplinary team also includes social workers, dieticians, activity therapists, wellness professionals, and chaplains. Our beautiful chapel offers Mass four times a week, as well as Protestant and non-denominational services every week.

Professional Nursing for your loved ones

Residents in our long-term care community can receive as much or as little care as they need to remain healthy and safe. Resident services are designed to support the activities of daily living including: personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, eating and help transferring. We also provide assistance with medication administration. Housekeeping and laundry are provided for each senior who calls Mount Carmel home.

A rich calendar of life enrichment activities is planned to allow our long-term care residents to live each day to the fullest. While honoring their limitations, our life enrichment programs are designed to help maintain an aging adult’s abilities and independence.

“I became unstable on my feet and realized I couldn’t stay home by myself anymore. The care here is wonderful and I continue to work on strengthening my legs. It’s the nicest place with the nicest people – and there’s always something to do!”
-Lois Haley, Long Term Care Resident
